Case Study: Integrating NightSabre with AJAX Systems for High-Value Residential Security

The Brief

A residential client in Buckinghamshire required robust, multi-stage perimeter security for their property. Because the client frequently works late and spends extended periods away from home, securing a vulnerable garage area housing high-value motorbikes and cars was the critical priority.

The Solution

Rather than installing a standalone system, the strategy leveraged the client’s existing CCTV and smart alarm network. By installing two NightSabre NS-45PA units in white above the garage doors, the integration created a highly effective, escalating active deterrent capable of changing intruder behaviour before a breach occurs.

Escalating Deterrent Configuration

Because the NS-45PA seamlessly accepts third-party 12V triggers, the units were wired directly into the property’s AJAX Security System. This allowed a single lighting product to perform three distinct security roles based on the threat level:

  • Primary State: Operates as a standard, high-brightness motion-activated security light for nighttime access.

  • Perimeter Protection (Armed Mode): If the alarm is set (Home or Away) and an intruder trips the perimeter curtain beam, the NightSabre units instantly trigger a tactical blue and red strobe to signal detection.

  • Full Breach (Alarm State): In the event the main house alarm is triggered, the units switch to a high-intensity white strobe to maximize visibility for CCTV capture and alert neighbors.

The Solution

By simply adding two low-voltage LED deterrent units to the existing hardware architecture, the client gained an active, cascading defence line without the need for complex new control panels or separate lighting networks.
